Law Of Attraction Not Working For You? Here Are The Answers?

In this book, which follows on from Brandon’s best-selling books The Journey and Freedom is…, Brandon teams up with her partner Kevin, and they help you go a level deeper.

It builds on previous “Journey Work” (or “process work”, as it’s called in the book). Journey Work is about going deeply into the emotions we experience, that tell us we have hit a block in life, so we can release the block. A block is something – an experience, vow or belief – from the past that we’re usually not consciously aware of, which sabotages our best efforts to be who we really are and achieve our dreams.

Most of us try to make changes using will power or positive affirmations – or other positive thinking techniques. Yet these often don’t produce the results we wanted.

Why?

Because they set up a conflict between the conscious, thinking mind and the unconscious mind (which actually runs the show).

For example, the conscious mind’s positive affirmation says “I’m going to get that great job”, whilst the unconscious mind firmly believes that “I’m too stupid / I don’t deserve it / I’m not attractive enough.”

This is why so many of us create what we want but, at some point, sabotage it. Brandon and Kevin help the reader identify these unconscious blocks and show you, step by step, how to release them. In “Consciousness – The New Currency” Brandon and Kevin bring us, for the first time, the processes used in their hugely powerful Manifest Abundance retreats. It’s transformational and only for those who are ready to undergo healing at a deep level, in order to liberate themselves from every limiting pattern / unconscious block that has held them back.

Throughout this book, Brandon and Kevin share their personal stories – warts and all – to help the reader understand what is really on offer to those who break free of their limitations. Between them, they share experiences that cover pretty much every block and emotion you could imagine. It’s an incredibly human book and is written with love and compassion.

If you’ve not yet come across Brandon and Kevin, though, it may challenge many of your assumptions about life. For them, concepts such as handing your life over to Grace (God / The Universe / Higher Spirit) and only living your Truth are at the core of their Being. This may be challenging for some.

Also, there is an assumption that the reader is at least vaguely familiar with the Law Of Attraction / Manifesting. If a reader is still at a point where they feel that life “happens to them” and other people can “make them angry”, then they may find this book brings up some resistance!

Is this book for you?

If you’ve read The Secret or similar books and want to understand why the techniques they teach can produce hit and miss results, then this book could clear things up for you. It explains why positive thinking isn’t enough and helps you go deeper into setting yourself free from every limitation you’ve ever picked up.
If you’re already a fan of Brandon Bays, then you’ll enjoy this. She really builds on her previous work and it’s lovely to have Kevin’s input into this book, too.
If you’re really new to all this, you might prefer to read The Journey first, although “Consciousness” is still a great place to start.

Top 3 Manifesting Mistakes And How To Avoid Them

When it comes to creating the life of our dreams, there are 3 simple mistakes that most of us are making. Yet these can completely scupper our plans, making it nigh on impossible for what we dream of to arrive.

In fact, when it comes to manifesting, our job is simple. Just do the opposite of what most of us are doing!

Here are the 3 simple mistakes and what you can do instead.

Hanging on to what you’ve got
It’s a basic fact of manifesting – Law Of Attraction – that the Universe needs a vacuum to fill. If you’ve already got too much stuff, it’s tough for more to enter your life. Similarly, if you’re so scared that you’ll run out, you can end up hoarding. Then you’re sending out the message of fear of lack and so you’ll be getting lack. It becomes a vicious circle.

What can you do instead?

Keep the energy flowing.
Blocked or stagnant energy can completely prevent you from attracting new abundance into your life.

Every time you get a chance, have a clear-out. Go through your closet and be ruthless, giving away EVERYTHING that you don’t wear any more or that doesn’t make you look great.

Declutter your home. If you don’t seriously love having something around – no matter who gave it to you or how much it cost – give it to someone else who will love it. Otherwise you’re sending out the message big time that you’re happy to settle for being surrounded by stuff you don’t like. And guess what that will bring you more of…

Get spending. Let your money flow. Have you been getting freaked out about money? Desperate to build up your savings, to the extent of putting off, say, essential repairs or doing jobs yourself that you’re not enjoying? Then you’re not only telling the Universe that you’re scared you won’t have enough money, but you’re also telling it you’re cutting back, so you need less. No one is saying you should be reckless, but it’s essential to be honest with yourself and see whether the emotion behind saving and holding onto stuff is fear-based.
By creating the space, you’ll automatically attract more of what you really want.

Trying To Stay In Control
Trying to control how things come into your life – how your dreams become reality – is a great way to miss all of the open doors and really slow things down. If we’re too busy expecting things to be done our way, then we won’t spot the signs and will completely miss the sychronicities and signposts that the Universe has ligned up for us. It’s like programming your satellite navigation system but then ignoring every direction it’s giving you.

What can you do instead?

Get out of the way!
Instead of making your job to ‘project manage’ how your dreams are manifested, make it your job to spot the signs along the route. Not only is this less stressful, it’s also faster and what comes your way will be bigger and better. You’re no longer restricting the Universe by insisting on ideas that your conscious mind has thought of.

Not being clear about what you want
So often we don’t get what we wanted because we didn’t hold a crystal clear vision of what it was we were asking for. It’s like a kid asking for a bike at Christmas and then being disappointed because it was a tricycle instead of a motorbike.

What can you do instead?
Be explicit about what you want. Choose it consciously, not by accident. And be aware of how you will feel when you get it – and feel that way now. It isn’t about saying your dream home has to have a pink front door and roses growing up the fence – though it might have these. Manifesting is about getting the essence of your desire. That’s why it’s so important to know what has motivated you to want something and experience what it will feel like, once you’ve got it.

Otherwise you’re just being vague – and you’ll get pot luck results.

Imagine you were going on holiday. You would make sure you knew where your destination was. If you were driving on the motorway, you would watch out for every sign that mentioned your destination, and follow those signs. And, even if you took the long way round, you would still get to where you wanted to go. You wouldn’t just set out, not sure where you were heading, and get distracted by every potentially interesting sign, asking yourself whether it might be taking you in the right direction : “Maybe that’ll take me where I want to go. I wonder where that might be?”

Clarity and focus are essential for manifesting.

When it comes to planning the future, most of us are historians.

We all know how it works.

“How are you?”

“Oh, you know… It was a tough weekend and then I had some really tricky stuff to do at work this week and my boss is always a nightmare, so I guess I’m pretty tired.”

It starts with little things. Someone asks us how we are and the answer we actually give is how we have been, not how we are now. What’s wrong with that? It keeps us in the cycle of how things used to be, throwing away any chance of changing them.

We “tell it how it is” – or even worse – “tell it how it was”.

And then we build in another layer – I call it the “I’ll feel happy when…” syndrome.

“I’ll feel happy when I get the job / relationship / payrise / car / home…”

It’s like happiness is a job we’re always putting off to some unspecified time in the future.

We find ourselves repeating the same patterns of behaviour, the same relationship cycles, the same mistakes.

When we worry about how the future might be, based on how the past was, we’re potentially throwing away any chance to make things different next time. We’re experts on our past – historians, analysing where it all went wrong. But that can keep us trapped with things we can’t change, missing out on the chance to steer things in a new direction.

“Worrying is a way of creating a future you don’t really want.”

The problem is simple:

Most of us are too busy being historians to deliberately plan and create our future.

Imagine a life where we actually learn from the past, history doesn’t repeat itself and we move towards our dreams? Imagine finding yourself where you want to be, more often than where you used to be?

Positive thinking gets bad press.

For most of us it conjures up Pollyanna-style nightmares of saccharine-sweet, well-meaning people, grinning wildly, just inches from your face, telling you that “everything will be fine”, in the middle of a life crisis.

But positive thinking isn’t about pretending that everything is alright. It’s not about telling ourselves lies. It’s not about ignoring what’s going on around us.

It’s as though we literally attract experiences that match whatever is on our mind. So if we expect something to go badly or someone to be rude to us, chances are that’s what we’ll experience. But if we expect things to go well and keep our thought patterns running positively, we’ll have a much better day.

So positive thinking seems to be a good idea?

The bit most of us struggle with is “how”?

It’s all very well being told that we need to think positive things, but if most of us were to monitor our thoughts for just an hour, we’d probably be shocked at how many of them are grumpy or negative. So how do we make the shift to thinking more positively?

Do You Know What You Want?

How To Change Your Life

I have a theory that one of the hardest parts of creating the life we dream of is figuring out what we really want.

There’s something that happens when we have complete clarity that gives us a sense of motivation and focus, meaning we can create a life that most would call “charmed”.

Yet years come and go and we often feel we’re making little progress towards our dreams.

The arrival of a New Year is a great time to focus our attention on what we really want and get clear about our priorities. Then all we need to do is sit back and believe.

It’s taken me years to figure that one out. I used to be the Queen of “doing”. If I wanted something, the first thing I would think about was the “how”. And if I couldn’t figure out the “how”, I would feel discouraged and would give it all up as a bad idea.

Nowadays, I realise that all that “mind work” of working out the “how” meant I was missing all the signs and opportunities along the way. They would have made things soooo much easier!

So here’s a rule of thumb that was on my Abraham-Hicks perpetual calendar this week:

Make a decision about what you want,

focus your attention there,

find out what it feels like to be there.

And then let go and wait for inspired action.

By far the most important part of this is deciding what you want.

So if you could wave a magic wand and have any life you wanted, what would you wish for?

My invitation to you this New Year is to:

Make a decision about what you really want and write it down
Imagine you’ve already got it / been there / done it and really feel the emotion of that
Spend a couple of minutes in that “place”
Repeat every morning before you get up
Turn your radar on every day for actions that will move you closer to your dream. Don’t force it, just let it happen.
