Scientists Now Agreeing That Calm Mind Leads To Better Health

Clare Josa, Research & Training Director

During his teachings at Dharamsala, India, on September 8th 2010, HH Dalai Lama reminds us of the epidemic that has spread throughout our culture.

He reminds us so simply of the dis-ease that comes from our “need” for material posessions – and how this leads to jealousy and greed.

He tells us that the ultimate source of a happy life, whatever our beliefs or non-beliefs, lies within us.

Even scientists are now finding a clear link between a healthy, more peaceful mind creates a healthy body. Too much stress creates an unhealthy body.

A mind that is basically at peace finds it easier to remain at peace, even when disturbances come.

His conclusion?

A peaceful mind is essential for a happier life.
